Legends Cup Semi Finals: Where Did They Go Wrong?

KLONDIKE & SLUSHY, Battle Rooms- After almost a month of battles, these armies were close to victory, but were they in over their heads?

[Help Force vs. Dark Warriors]

The first battle on Saturday, June 20th was the Dark Warriors versus the Help Force. Although the Dark Warriors fought well, they lost 2-1 after the Help Force won rooms one and two with strong tactics and formations. Dark Warriors reached a maximum of 78 penguins and Help Force reached 65.

CP Army Media was able to speak with Megann, the Supreme Commander from Dark Warriors and get their thoughts on DW’s loss.

Why do you believe you lost the battle against the Help force?

We believe that we should have won tbh, but it was a close battle nonetheless.

How do you think this loss has positively affected the Dark Warriors?

We may have lost against the Help Force, but our journey is far from over. We’ve been on the rise ever since the tournament started, and our numbers have been increasing at a rapid rate. Our staff and HCOM are super dedicated to DW, and we are always constantly working on ways to improve ourselves not only as an army but as a community. The loss will only push us to be better and come back stronger next time.

[Rebel Penguin Federation vs. Ice Warriors]

On Saturday, June 20th there was a fierce battle between Ice Warriors and the Rebel Penguin Federation. The battle lasted about an hour and included some technical difficulties in between. In the end, RPF won with a score of 2-1-1. RPF maxed at a whopping 162 while IW reached an impressive 101. Room two was deemed void after a judge voted late, which gave Ice Warriors a disadvantage.

CP Army Media was able to speak with Madhav, one of the leaders from Ice Warriors and get their thoughts on the army’s loss.

Why do you believe the Ice Warriors lost the battle against the Rebel Penguin Federation?

I think we lost because they had around 50 more than us at every point in the battle, however, our troops were agile and at many times were able to get into the rooms first and keep the size difference close.

How do you think this loss has positively affected the Ice Warriors?

First of all, I don’t consider it a loss and I still think we should’ve won the final room because of our tactics. I think the battle really showed our “never back down from a challenge” mentality. Around a month ago, we participated in a practice battle with RPF in which we were outmanned by 30. We still won so this battle was another example of how good Ice Warriors are at staying positive. In addition, it shows that hard work does pay off. The fact that we were able to get 100+ on CP for 2 straight weekends is no joke and we will only push our troops to recruit harder.

Even though all four armies showed hard work and incredible sportsmanship, only two were able to make it to the finals. Thankfully, the losing teams have positive outlooks on the future.

What do YOU think? Should these armies change their strategy? Let us know in the comments down below!
